Destiny

Have you at any point knew about the word â€Å"destiny†. All things considered, obviously you could’ve red that word some place. Three-year-olds have known about that as well. Things being what they are, what's going on here? There are only sure contemplations when you hear words that way. For kids, they would state it’s about Cinderella and Ariel and any Disney princesses and kid's shows that cause individuals to fantasize and accept that fantasies do work out as expected, correct? However, let’s have it the opposite way around. No youngster play, outright genuine and reasonable talk. Predetermination is something not played, it would play with you and you’ll never like what occurs straightaway. Its minor presence relies upon people’s varieties. Predetermination. Please! Predetermination? It isn't arranged, it is never an occurrence. Have you ever known about this statement: â€Å"There are no occurrences in this world, it could’ve been fate cooperating with people†. I don’t realize who said that nor I even consideration on his biography†¦ yet whoever thought of that plain proclamation is a sworn virtuoso. Presently, let’s have some discussion about more profound sense. Fiction books regardless of how incredible of a dream it is have roots originating from the real world. They state that those two domains conflict, yet I don’t think so. Each and every character portrayed by the creator has his/her premise on individuals around him/her. Presently, where on earth would we be able to relate this thing to predetermination? Basic! Numerous books have plots rotating on this wordâ€mostly, romance books obviously. At the point when the person meets the young lady and the person is the tragically deceased child of the girl’s stepmother, or something like the person was at one time a professional killer and killed the guardians of the young lady he adores the most. Is that plain happenstance? I accept it’s not. Not yet persuaded how predetermination is genuine? Let’s state it’s a dream book. Predetermination originates from the word ‘destined’. There are simply individuals regardless of what race they are, what sort of beasts they are, or just things like that are simply bound to be together regardless. Let’s take it from the children’s legends. Acquainted with the film little mermaid? Better believe it, the sovereign? Also, the mermaid? Keep in mind? Two sweethearts whose beginnings were from a high land and the most profound of the oceans, separately. Be that as it may, the two met, unintentionally? Not a chance. It was the plot made by fate. Same goes with reality. You shouldn’t expect what occurs straightaway, except if you have an exceptional capacity to anticipate.

Jason Aldean Night Train Essay

Jason Aldean is an American down home music artist who since 2005, has recorded for Broken Bow Records. In his years as a craftsman he has discharged five collections and sixteen singles. His 2010 collection My Kinda Party is guaranteed twofold platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). His 2005 self-titled introduction, 2007 collection Relentless and 2009 collection Wide Open are totally ensured platinum. Of his singles, eight have arrived at the main situation on the Hot Country Songs diagrams: â€Å"Why†, â€Å"She’s Country†, â€Å"Big Green Tractor†, â€Å"The Truth†, â€Å"Don’t You Wanna Stay† (a two part harmony with Kelly Clarkson), â€Å"Dirt Road Anthem†, â€Å"Fly Over States†, and â€Å"Take a Little Ride†. Seven more have arrived at top ten on a similar graph. Aldean’s most recent collection titled Night Train appeared at number one on the Billboard 200 graphs and number two for the year. In the blink of an eye before the arrival of the collection Billboard author/analyst Ray Waddell did a definite track-by-track survey of the collection. In this he discussed how inventiveness, pace, melodic expertise, verses, generally speaking effect and creation had an impact in every one of the tunes. In general his survey of the collection Night Train and Jason Aldean as a craftsman was extremely point by point and hailed Aldean on his new collection. Before Ray Waddell the commentator of Jason Aldean’s Night Train collection does a track-by-track audit he does a general survey and statements from both Aldean and his maker Michael Knock about the collection. In this general survey Waddell discusses the sort of music that the collection has the instruments utilized and what all in all the collection brings to the table the audience members and fans. The part that stands apart most from the Billboard audit and that truly sparkles a light on Waddell’s sentiments of the collection is when Waddell says that â€Å"In the end, the two wound up with a record that stays consistent with Aldean’s sound and still figures out how to push that sound ahead sonically, vocally and lyrically.† (Waddell) This shows not just what Jason needed and attempted to escape and across with this collection yet in addition what the maker needed from this collection materialized. The two men and the numerous people that they work with put in numerous hard extended periods of time and at long last it paid off. From Waddell’s survey fans can peruse that Jason Aldean has put out another fruitful collection that is moving into the future in all viewpoints yet is the thing that the fans have developed to cherish and anticipate. The initial seven tracks on the Night Train collection are â€Å"This Nothin’ Town†, â€Å"When She Says Baby†, â€Å"Feel That Again†, â€Å"Wheels Rollin’†, â€Å"Talk†, â€Å"The Only Way I Know†, and â€Å"Take A Little Ride†. Every one of these tracks carry something new to the stage yet they additionally contain odds and ends of the old and the things that work. In the primary track â€Å"This Nothin’ Town† audit Waddell calls attention to that in the melody Jason says â€Å"There’s something to be said when you hear a tune just because, those dreams fly into your head, and you can see it. This is one of those songs† (Aldean) Each of these tunes has something exceptional about it and in the audit Weddell brings up the solid purposes of every melody. A portion of the remarks that he had about these tunes included â€Å"Despite the ringing guitars and a field rock sound, this ones harkens back to ’70s musical gangs like Kansas or Journey, mixed in with a noticeable vocal by Aldean and a solid feeling of tune, and An extraordinary introduction prompts a force melody that successions consummately on the record. Include a rankling guitar solo and Aldean’s responsibility for vocal and this one seems like a hit.† (Weddell) These alongside the numerous others show that this collection is truly something uncommon and not simply one more blue grass music collection. Weddell takes a gander at each part of a tune and studies every one of those angles independently and all together so for this collection to have done so well it is actually an achievement with respect to Aldean and his creation team and band. The last eight tracks of the collection are â€Å"I Don’t Do Lonely Well†, â€Å"Night Train†, â€Å"1994†, â€Å"Staring at the Sun†, â€Å"Drink One for Me†, â€Å"Black Tears†, â€Å"Walking Away†, and â€Å"Water Tower†. Much the same as the initial seven Weddell gives good grades for these tracks. He discusses what each track contains both vocal and instrumental savvy yet additionally converses with and about Aldean about his response to these tracks and the procedure that he experienced while making them. A portion of the numerous positive audit focuses incorporate â€Å" One of the album’s champion tracks, this astounding hick-jump blockbuster is a tribute to Joe Diffie and the ’90s, and The collections most remarkable number and amazing vocal, with the extraordinary line, â€Å"She gets under your skin like a tattoo,† a wah-wah guitar solo, and nostalgic feel.† (Waddell) In the last eight tracks are probably the most outstanding and incredible tunes and Waddell calls attention to this to additionally connote that this collection and its tracks are acceptable and have assembled work for Aldean and the down home music industry. Some may state this was simply one more average Jason Aldean collection and that he is simply sitting around recording different people’s melodies. It is through this audit anybody can see that despite the fact that he may not compose the melody he makes it his own through the way that he sings performs and records the tune. It is evident that every one of the tunes implies something to him. Remembered for this audit Aldean says that â€Å"Night Train’ was an ideal case of exactly how far things have come the most recent couple of years, going from a transport pulling a trailer to now like a cargo train with transport and tractor trailers. The title, more than the tune, summarizes where we’re at right now.†(Aldean) This is the thing that make the collection great and what demonstrates that the audit is certain and compelling. It doesn't make a difference what everybody out there thinks it is the thing that the fans and supporters think. Night Train is a vi able collection both in that it has genuine significance and impact yet additionally in that it successfully show that Jason Aldean alongside blue grass music are pushing ahead in all parts of the music.

How to Start a Book Report Introduction

How to Start a Book Report Introduction A good start is half of the work done. This is valid for a book report as well. But how to write an introduction for a book report in the way that will show your intentions, your understanding of the book content and at the same time attract the reader`s attention? You may be surprised, but the advice is very simple: prepare yourself properly. First of all, reading a book is important. You had better pay attention to all significant details or the ones that in some way surprised you or changed the way of your thinking. Trying to read summaries or to watch a movie isn’t an option as you cannot get acquainted with the book content properly. Other people may have understood the book in a completely different way, and you have to form your own opinion. Moreover, when you are making effort to catch the ideas from a summary, you are missing significant details that may be crucial for the understanding of the idea. Did you find some statements that you may want to use for your writing task? Write them down. Have you noticed a theme? Why not write it down as well, to compare later with your ideas and arguments? If a detail attracts your attention, don’t miss it, as later it may attract the attention of your reader as well. Start an Introduction for a Book Report with The Following In the introduction, you catch the attention of a reader and give your viewpoint. Here you show the reader that there are some things that can be interesting in your work and these things are definitely not the author’s biography and the title explanation. Most students like introducing the book with its title introduction, but you can do it only in case you are confident that you can make it in a super engaging and unexpected way. First-Hand Experience So, how to write a good introduction for a book report? Usually, people prefer reading first-hand experiences, some trustworthy information. Did you decide to mention the author who has written the book? Then, it is worth paying some attention to his personality and experience. Why has he written this book and why exactly this author is the one who could have written the best book in this field? Why can readers trust the facts described in the book? If your book is about traveling, then you describe the author as a person who has visited all those places that are described in his book and so on. Shocking Facts In the introduction, create a special engagement. That can be anything: some mystery, maybe a short story that cannot leave indifferent, anything that will make your reader get interested in the report. Do you have any ideas on how to manage this? Are there any practical examples that show how to get out of this issue? It is always helpful if you start an introduction to a book report with some shocking facts, if they are proven statistically, it is even better. For example, you have chosen a book that describes human rights violation in the developing countries, you can take one shocking case and describe it. Make it vivid. Does the reader feel the frustration and pain of the person whose example you are using? Make it personal. After that, give the statistical data about that phenomenon. Be careful with statistics though, as too many numbers weaken the effect and turn personal stories into dry numbers. Familiar Things One more way to attract their attention is to pay attention to something that is close and familiar to them, something that speaks out of their soul. Think what it can be. Are there any ads on TV that made you watch them till the end? How did they do? Can you use their method for your reader? Ask questions that evoke interest. Start with some hint of a drama. You know, most people like dramas. Check some examples that usually work with most people and which you can use when you are writing of a book report introduction: Feeling like a loser â€" how does it feel? Happy ending â€" how often can it happen in real life? Discovering a family secret â€" disclose or not to disclose? You see, that these questions are not something extraordinary. They all are about common life situations that happen everywhere to everybody. That is why talk about it. It helps to establish trust between you and your reader. You show that you know their concerns, their worries, and their pain. You are ready to speak about it. That is why you have chosen a book that is close to them as well. This is good for writing if it is about books describing people’s feelings during different periods of their life. A good example of a book report introduction can be written based on the “The Outsiders” by S.E.Hinton, the writer who wasn’t so famous among foreign readers but whose books deserve our attention. How does the author describe the teenager`s feelings and emotions? Do they have something in common with your emotional condition at that age? Everybody has lived those periods over, everybody knows all those feelings, even if they weren’t so intense. That is why everybody will perceive the book and your report with great warmth and understanding. The Book Is Famous What to do if your task is a report on a well-known book? What if the book has been described so many times that you simply don’t know what else to write about? How to write an introduction paragraph for a book report in this case, when an idea was described a number of times in the most popular sources? Even in such case, you can find your way. You may like the following options: Were there any events at that time that deserved special attention of the public and that influenced the society? How can you use them for your report? This method works very well with books containing the elements of the author`s biography. Are there any interesting facts or experiences from the life of the author that influenced his life? Can they impress the reader somehow? Consider Your Reader An introduction should not describe everything. But it is always useful to give a short outline of a book. Just imagine that some people have not read it. They still should understand your point. Share just the information that is crucial to the general understanding of the entire story. There is no place for details here. But you had better give some contradicting ideas and make a hint to something that may change the story in an unexpected way. Just as an example, you can start with an ordinary story but then make a sharp turn in the plot and make the reader guess what comes further. There is no perfect example of an introduction paragraph for a book report, as people are different, so they have a different way of perception of the same things. Moreover, among your readers, there may be someone who has managed to read the book, as well as those who haven’t cared to do it. Your obligation is to pay attention to both groups. New readers should feel welcomed and engaged, while experienced readers should be able to get new information from your report, new ideas and new arguments. If there is a need, you can even mention relevant literature and compare it to the book. All Facts Matter â€" Use Them for Book Report Introduction Authors choose locations and time deliberately, that is why these details mean something. If you find out how that can be connected to the main plot, how it influenced the time and location, you have a chance to write a good introduction to a book report. Don’t hesitate to share all your ideas. Is there any content connected to the title? How does the title reflect the main idea and the topic? How much sense does it make under the circumstances described in the book? Is the book aimed at entertaining or providing objective information? Is the moral connected to the content? Are there any controversies in the book and how are you going to discuss them? How did the book influence your perceptions and beliefs, if it did so? What to Do Further Now, after you have learned how to write a good introduction for a book report, you are free to move further to the actual report body and the conclusions. Take your time, just a few seconds to check some information which you have found out and which you want to discuss. How are the main characters connected to the moral, title and so on? What about the author`s conclusions and are they similar or contrasting to those that you made? Do you have anything to add, discuss or argue? State your ideas, arguments, and counter-arguments. Prove your attitude, check how the circumstances could have influenced the author, his ideas. Emphasize the turning points in the plot. How did they influence the characters? Discuss all examples that are engaged in a conflict with society, with other characters, with their own personality and show the solutions. How does the story ending correlate with the described conflicts and how logical or unexpected was it? Finally, make a conclusion where you will sum up everything and give your ideas. It Is Too Complicated, or Where to Order Your Task? That looks like a good piece of work, doesn’t it? Reading a book already requires time, even if you aren’t making notes and paying no attention to the facts that you can use later. You need to have proper knowledge not only about the theory regarding how to write a book report introduction but you need to find much more information about the circumstances in which or under which influence the plot was created. Moreover, this is not only time-demanding task but also a work that requires attention and some writing skills. If you believe that it is not your piece of cake, why not give this job to professionals who love writing and who can do it professionally? Place an order now and get your task with the most amazing introduction written by professionals.

Are you at least 17 years old? Do you weigh more than 110 pounds and consider yourself to be healthy? If you answered yes to all of these questions, then you should be donating blood at least once a year. In my survey of work colleagues 25% of the staff had never donated blood before and four out of 75 only donate on a regular basis. The Issue of Death and Cormac McCarthy - 1101 Words

Cormac McCarthy wrote a visually stunning picture of how it looks at the end to two pilgrims on the road to nowhere. Color in the world—except for the red of fire and blood—exists mainly in memory and dream. Fire has consumed forests and cities, and from the fall ash and soot the land is monotone, the rivers black. Hydrangeas and wild orchids stand in the forests, sculptured by fire into â€Å"ashen effigies† of themselves, waiting for the wind to blow them into dust. Intense heat has melted and tipped city buildings, and window glass hangs frozen down their sides. On the Interstate â€Å"long lines of charred and rusting cars† are â€Å"sitting in a stiff gray sludge of melted rubber. ... The incinerate corpses shrunk to the size of a child and propped on the bare springs of the seats. Ten thousand dreams sepulchered within their crozzled hearts.† McCarthy has said that death is the major issue in the world, and that writers who dont address it are not serious. Death reaches very near totality in The Road. Billions of people have died, all animal and plant life is no more: â€Å"At the tide line a woven mat of weeds and the ribs of fishes in their millions stretching along the shore as far as eye could see like an isocline of death.† the survivors of the barbaric wars that followed the initial event wear masks against the perpetual clouds of soot in the air. Sociocultural Theory And Role Development - Myassignmenthelp.Com

Question: Discuss about the Sociocultural Theory And Role Development. Answer: Task 1.1 As per my understanding, play is an enjoyable act that is associated with the development of cognitive skills, creativity, understanding and intellectual skills. In the play experiences, when children get engaged in playing, it imparts emotions, motivation and thinking establishing neural connections that are critical for brain functioning. The use of imitation and imagination involved during play help children to develop cognitive skills like persistence and curiosity and language acquisition through interactive play. I think play is a medium to develop creative skills fostering creativity of imagination, thought, problem solving strategies and divergent thinking ability. I believe that through the cognitive, imaginative and affective processes involved in play, children come together and support their skills for predicting and arriving at solutions that are unexpected. I believe every child has different abilities and learn in their own way. When the children are well guided, directed while following their own interests through play, they learn in the best possible way. I strongly believe that play is the foundation for the interaction with others taking them through adulthood and world. As children learn by doing and acquire knowledge through playful activities, they get motivated to learn through their desire making sense of fascinating world surrounding them. When children get engaged in learning activities, it helps to develop positive feelings and self-esteem directed towards learning. There are opportunities and exploration among the children making choices to take part in the play activities involved in discovery learning encouraging problem-solving and creativity skills. Manipulation and involvement occurs that are relevant to their life experiences when children use hands-on and concrete materials for playing. It is my personal belief that there is construction of relationships in play-based activities as a childs mind is prerequisite to complex skills of writing, reading and mathematical reasoning. Therefore, I believe that giving children the opportunity to actively manipulate, explore, discover and question can facilitate childs cognitive development. In the classroom, when children get engaged in play experiences, it supports emotional health, social skills, physical and cognitive growth I believe that in play education, when children are left to play, explore, imagine, create using senses experiencing in plays, they engage with each other. Children learn while playing that is extensive as it increases their communication, literary and imagination skills. Play work well in building their confidence encouraging writing and reading skills. Discovery, exploration and interaction of children in ones social world through play is as critical as learning process explored in the physical environment. There are immense opportunities for children to develop cooperative interactions through playing with peers. My personal philosophy behind child play is that it fosters intellectual competence. When children get actively engaged in play-based activities, it promotes their optimal overall development in every aspect of child life. My personal concern behind child play is that play develops healthy confidence, self-concept, motivation and curiosity to learn and develops ability for the establishment of cooperative relationships while playing with peers. I strongly believe that emotional and social development of the children is of paramount importance that is encouraged through play-learning hinging on emotional well-being. In addition, my philosophy also lies in the fact where play is a cognitive approach as children get actively involved in their own learning. When children are engaged in playing, it allows tutor to carry out a clinical observation helping children to get adapted to the learning environment according to their level of understanding. I also believe that play in a group encou rages communication and social skills between the peers learning through interaction with peers in a friendly learning based environment. My personal belief behind play is that it helps to foster active engagement of the children to become active members of the society supporting their emotional, social, intellectual and physical growth. Play-based learning experiences are meaningful for the children relevant to their lives as I believe that every child is unique and has his or her own learning style and temperament. When children interact with their peers, tutors, play materials and environment, they try to relate every piece of new information to their existing view in the world. These established relationships forms the basis for the childrens learning exploring and discovering more about their surrounding world. With time, these relationships become more polished and sophisticated. As per my philosophy, play activities are advantageous; however, it has certain disadvantages depending upon the type of play designed for the children. To plan and implement plays in the classroom settings is problematic being much debated. The play should be designed according to the childs interest termed as child-centred and when it is restricted; it limits a childs exploration and discovery. I strongly recommend that play should be structured so it does not expose them to risk and limits their exploration, rather helping children to enjoy and learn through pleasurable play. Task 1.2 The theories of development proposed by mid-twentieth century psychologists like Jean Piaget, Erik Erikson, Lev Vygotsky and Howard Gardner are based on the experiences and observations with the children. The knowledge about these theories lays the foundation for the early child education and provides a framework for the tutors. Firstly, Eriksons Psychosocial Theory is based on the fact that development occurs throughout the life providing insights into healthy personality formation. This theory is advantageous in a way that it illustrates development in children is based on their response towards social environment. When children get actively engaged with the social environment, it develops their social skills by providing them social support and opportunity to help children come over crisis or conflict that occurs at every stage. This theory is based on the fact that when there is well-equipped capability to resolve early adulthood crisis that can be successfully reached if the adolescence crisis is resolved (Dunkel and Harbke 2017). Similarly, Piagets developmental theory is also advantageous as it has huge impact on the early childhood education suggesting that children should be taught at their developmental preparedness level. This theory has also improved the cognitive development understanding. The ability to communicate with children and methods of observing them is possible through Piaget theory (Shute and Hogan 2017). Vygotskys Sociocultural Theory is also advantageous providing solid foundation of how children learn before entering school and how knowledge is related to the concepts that they learn in school. The socio-cultural theory framework works as a foundation for the early childhood educators (ECE) in knowing how to address the learning needs of the children, what they learn and how they learn (Panhwar, Ansari and Ansari 2016). Multiple intelligences approach used in Howard Gardner theory forms the basis for the variety of differences among the children having different mental performance levels. The theory helps to recognize the different talents and abilities of children providing a theoretical foundation. This theory explains that many children are not mathematically or verbally gifted, however they hold expertise in other areas like spatial relations, music or interpersonal knowledge. The approach and assessment of learning through this theory help early childhood educators to allow wide range of children to participate in the classroom learning (Gardner 2017). Early childhood educators face challenges when they lack depth and breadth of knowledge about these developmental theories as it lays the foundation for explaining the developmental inequalities and processes that occur in children based in development definitions. The main challenge is witnessed in relation to education level of the teachers and depth and breadth of knowledge that they have regarding developmental theories. As the foundation of early childhood education is developmental theory regarding how children should learn and develop, it is important for them to understand and have good grasp of the theories guiding their teaching. They should have knowledge about these theories as it guide tutors in early education in teaching and supporting children as learners (Wood 2014). When the early childhood educators lack the knowledge of various developmental theories, it becomes challenging for the educators to treat children as unique individuals and modify the classroom that is appropriate to the developmental stage and age based on the developmental theories concepts. While implementing these developmental theories, early educators face obstacles while planning literary instruction that reflects on the childrens developmental stages integrating their personal interests and allowing them to engage in the learning process. The lack of appropriate knowledge about developmental theories poses obstacle for the educators in the implementation of developmental appropriate practices into the instruction of classroom literacy (Theobald and Busch 2016). Every child is unique and possesses different talents and has their own way of learning things. In such cases, if the educators lack knowledge about the development of a child according to age, it becomes difficult for them to interact with the children, making them engaging and enhance social communication with them. Moreover, to understand every child and help them to learn in their own way, educators need to have in-depth knowledge about the developmental theories that is suited as per the age (Wood 2014). The poor developmental theory knowledge among educators can pose challenge in designing classroom as per their learning ability. When they lack knowledge about how children learn, grow and their trajectories, the intervention efforts made by the educators might be fallout contributing to their development. The developmental outcomes like cognitive, social and emotional skills development would be disrupted when educators lack knowledge about developmental theories shaping and su pporting childs growth, literacy and development. Using Ethnomethodology to Understand Social Order

Using Ethnomethodology to Understand Social Order What Is Ethnomethodology? Ethnomethodology is a theoretical approach in sociology based on the belief that you can discover the normal social order of a society by disrupting it. Ethnomethodologists explore the question of how people account for their behaviors. To answer this question, they may  deliberately disrupt social norms to see how people respond and how they try to restore social order. Ethnomethodology was first developed during the 1960s by a sociologist named  Harold Garfinkel. It is not an especially popular method, but it has become an accepted approach. What Is the Theoretical Basis for Ethnomethodology? One way of thinking about ethnomethodology is built around the belief that human interaction takes place within a consensus and interaction is not possible without this consensus. The consensus is part of what holds society together and is made up of the norms for behavior that people carry around with them. It is assumed that people in a society share the same norms and expectations for behavior and so by breaking these norms, we can study more about that society and how they react to broken normal social behavior. Ethnomethodologists argue that you cannot simply ask a person what norms he or she uses because most people are not able to articulate or describe them. People are generally not wholly conscious of what norms they use and so ethnomethodology is designed to uncover these norms and behaviors. Examples of Ethnomethodology Ethnomethodologists often use ingenious procedures for uncovering social norms by thinking of clever ways to disrupt normal social interaction. In a famous series of ethnomethodology experiments, college students were asked to pretend that they were guests in their own home without telling their families what they were doing. They were instructed to be polite, impersonal, use terms of formal address (Mr. and Mrs.), and to only speak after being spoken to. When the experiment was over, several students reported that their families treated the episode as a joke. One family thought their daughter was being extra nice because she wanted something, while another’s believed their son was hiding something serious. Other parents reacted with anger, shock, and bewilderment, accusing their children of being impolite, mean, and inconsiderate. This experiment allowed the students to see that even the informal norms that govern our behavior inside our own homes are carefully structured. By violating the norms of the household, the norms become clearly visible. What We Can Learn from Ethnomethodology Ethnomethological research teaches us that many people have a hard time recognizing their own social norms.  Usually people go along with what is expected of them and the existence of norms only becomes apparent when they are violated. In the experiment described above, it became clear that normal behavior was well understood and agreed upon despite the fact that it had never been discussed or described.    References Anderson, M.L. and Taylor, H.F. Human genetic enhancement Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words

Human genetic enhancement - Essay Example The introduced genes may support the normal genes and enhance certain traits and this also provides solution to many human genetic or phenotypic disorders such as short height etc. However, the implementation of the technology on humans have raised a number of ethical concerns since it alters nature’s selection and destroys the original identity of the person who is being bio-enhanced even though the same technology maybe beneficial is used knowledgably and hence the U.S policy makers must keep a number of things in mind before adjusting the limit to which genetic enhancement maybe allowed. The President of America has ordered the removal of all limitations on the research involving stem cell technologies since the field is deemed promising and the research of â€Å"human embryonic cells and human non-embryonic cells has the potential to lead to better understanding and treatment of many disabling disease and conditions† (The President,2009, 10667). This has enable rese arch endeavor in the field of enhancement however, this is deemed â€Å"interfering† and â€Å"unethical†. In the framework of human rights, each individual has the right to his or her own genetic identity and hence enjoy the uniqueness bestowed through the genetic makeup. The molecular tools that helps to manipulate this genetic makeup destroys this uniqueness and the original identity of the person which automatically leads to violation of the basic human rights. One of the most important features of genetic enhancement at the embryonic level is that it would enable a baby to have 3 and even 4 genetic parents at one time and therefore gives rise an ethical dilemma since this will interfere with the identity of the child. Researchers who are associated with the development of the technology claim that human genetic enhancement is a primary tool for preventing or diagnosing genetic disease in babies. Rob Stein informs us that geneticists and researchers have found out how to manipulate the DNA in the human egg and this is being hailed as an immensely advanced achievement since it will help prevent hereditary genetic disorders in the babies (All things Considered,2012). The researchers develop healthy embryos by substituting the mutated or defective DNA in the baby with normal DNA taken from healthy gene. Mitchell in his article says that a line must be drawn between genetic therapy and enhancement. The scientists involved in genetic enhancement technology have diminished the line between using genetic manipulation for treating genetic problems and disorders and substituting or supplementing normal genes with selected better genes to create a superior human (Mitchell,2010). Biological enhancement is not in conformity with the true motive of medical treatments. Medical treatments are aimed towards providing good health to patients and keeping them as â€Å"natural† as possible i.e. the internal and the external balance of each individual mus t be kept optimum and a complete state of homeostasis must be maintained. Mitchell writes â€Å"Whether we call it healing, wellness, or shalom, the goals of medicine are restorative and preventive† (Mitchell,2010) and human genetic advancements must not be thereby deemed as a method for clinical prevention of diseases. It cannot be denied that man has always wanted his children to be better. It is often a

Reflective Learning Account (Ref) Assignment Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2000 words

Reflective Learning Account (Ref) - Assignment Example This essay stresses that working in a team where the members have different backgrounds in terms of gender, age, ethnicity and religion can be a very hard undertaking. This is due to the fact that each member portrays a certain kind of behavior, which the other party may deem to be inappropriate. This in the long run affects the overall performance of the team. Moreover, it might cause conflicts, making it difficult to accomplish the goal and objectives that brought the team members together. To avoid such situations, the team must possess certain qualities and adopt some behaviors that will ensure that they succeed in the undertakings. The group must be made up of members who have the appropriate requirements for the projects. This paper makes a conclusion that just like in developed countries, the developing nations have embraced and incorporated IT into their practices. However, there are some challenges that continue to be experienced which impact negatively on the success of those companies using such technologies. This study on the use of ICT in an NGO in the developing world provided a clear picture on the state of the field in these areas. Among the things identified to affect the use of IT include the size of the organization, organizational overheads, different expectations on ICT infrastructure and staffing problems. Some of these problems may also be encountered in the developed nations. They must however be dealt with in time and effectively.

What, How, Who and Answers to Global Warming

What, How, Who and Answers to Global Warming Global Warming Determining What, How, Who and Answers to Global Warming Global Warming is steady increase of average temperatures due to the slowly growing strengths of human made greenhouse gases. Global warming can also mean that observing the temperatures without indicating of the cause too. The most accepted reason is the burning of fossil fuels which does expel carbon dioxide into our atmosphere. â€Å"As of 2010, the concentration of carbon dioxide is about 50% higher than it was before the start of the industrial revolution in the late 1800s.† (Australian Coal Association Low Emissions Technology, 2014) The increase in temp is contributed to the CO2 absorbing radiation which is the radiation the Earth loses to space when heated by the sun. This reaction produces greenhouse gas which helps produce a blanket over the planet that retains warmth. Since the early 70’s, 91% of the radiation energy has been stored in the oceans. The oceans main role in energy absorption is also used to increase the average temperature of the Earth’s Air and Seas temperatures. Since the turn of the century our Earth’s air and sea temps have steadily increased about 1.4F with about 2/3’s of the increase happening in the last 30 years. Each of the last 3 eras has been increasingly warmer at the Earths surface then the last hundred years combined. We have been recording temperature records since the late 1800’s so this data is well documented and gives us a baseline to go from. These data collections are the result of natural changes with the Earth and human beings making Greenhouse Gases. â€Å"A panel convened by the U.S National Research Council, the nations premier science policy body, in June 2006 voiced a high level of confidence that Earth is the hottest it has been in at least 400 years, and possibly even the last 2,000 years.† (Stanford Solar Center, 2013) But since humans are still to burning fossil fuels, the Earth is steadily warming unnaturally. The Northern most part of the hemisphere has experienced the most major rise in temperature, near 2.5’ Fahrenheit. â€Å"Average temperatures in Alaska, western Canada, and eastern Russia have risen at twice the global average, according to the multinational Arctic Climate Impact Assessment report compiled between 2000 and 2004.† (National Geogr aphic, 2014) We all know this CO2 release is coming from our automobiles, factories and burning coal etc. Our way of life is killing mother Earth, we continue to cut down trees pollute our oceans and for what? This paper is going to breakdown in three major sections giving my conclusions on what, how, why and fixing this Global Warming problem we as a planet face. There are many different factors which can make the warm the planet, but the major contributor is human created carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuels. A huge contributor to global warming is the greenhouse gases that people release into the atmosphere. Majority of the gases released include carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide and CFCs (chloral floral carbons). The use of natural resources has increased the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere. â€Å"However, over the last several hundred years, humans have been artificially increasing the concentration of these gases, mainly carbon dioxide and methane in the Earths atmosphere.† (Earth Observatory, 2014) Let’s not forget about another form of global warming like deforestation. Forest grounds are moist, but without protection from tree cover they can dry out. Trees also help spread the water cycle by releasing water vapor back into the atmosphere. If we do not have trees helping with the ecosystem we will soon loose countless specie’s. Cutting down trees deprives the forest of its canopy, which helps cut down the sun’s rays during the day and retains heat at night. This displacement leads to higher temperatures ranges that can be harmful to plants and animals. Trees also play a critical role in absorbing the greenhouse gases that fuel global warming. Fewer forests means larger amounts of greenhouse gases entering the atmosphere and increased speed and severity of global warming. Thousands of years have since past and the Earth has had a diverse temperature effect without any human influence. This temperature change has been the result of other factors such as: the tilt of the Earth and changes in the levels of gases in the atmosphere. The Earth actually wobbles throughout its solar rotation around the sun. â€Å"This wobble in the Earth’s rotation has been causing changes in the temperature of the atmosphere for many millions of years.† (A Cooler Climate (2014) The suns variations in size from the past to present has an ecosystem effect. Scientist believe we are experiencing more and more solar flares that have a negative impact on our atmosphere too. There is a theory amongst scientist that Global Warming is a â€Å"regular life cycle event but I do not believe this to be true. Even though the Earth had ice ages and warmer temps in the past. Industry throughout the world gives off CO2 and it thickens the atmosphere UV rays are not being able to reflect back into space warming the Earth. A blend of compound atmospheric and ocean sequences which are inevitably driven by changes in solar output. The Earth goes through constant climate change cycles and has done so throughout its history. The exact mechanism is not well understood but appears to be related to the sun plus solar activity. â€Å"The ocean and volcanoes are much bigger sources of CO2 and other such greenhouse gases than humans. If the CO2 count is increasing, the influence of man may be minimal.† (Bionomic Fuel, July 16, 2014) The planet is currently in a cool down cycle and will continue to be so for at least a several years because the Pacific Decadal Oscillat ion. It would only make sense that the last thirty years with the Pacific Decadal Oscillation in its warm phase caused the planet to warm. I read that people were asking questions like, who would be the most affected by this. And the answer is simple, everyone on the planet will pay a price for Global Warming. Theoretically every living breathing thing can be affected by climate change. Warmer seas means changing currents, which means distorted rainfall amounts on the continents. Plant life will move because of changing rainfall patterns. Insects, trees and animals will move to follow the vegetation and water. If global warming continues, there will be irreversible effects. Effects like erratic weather patterns, sea levels rising, dry waterless areas and ice caps melting. The US alone has millions of people living within a mile of the oceans. The majority of our major cities are located of the coasts or Great Lakes. All of these will be under water and completely useless. The world’s mountain contain some 80% of fresh water in forms of ice and snow. Global Warming would potentially melt this with devastating cons equences like massive flooding. â€Å"Urgent action is necessary to combat these effects. We cannot afford to wait as the well-being of you and your children is at stake. It is up to you to take responsibility for your actions.† (A Cooler Climate, 2014) Around the globe, people are taking responsibility and helping reduce CO2 emissions through more efficient environmentally energy resources. Unfortunately the people, who will be affected by Global Warming the most, are the poorer countries. These countries lack proper funding and education to help build finance facilities that can reduce our carbon foot print. Your citizens need to have a good understanding of what can happen when greenhouse gases are not taken seriously. Properly educating everyone will ultimately benefit the planet. How about free trade being affected? Every nation on Earth has some form of trade going on and you must take in account rising sea levels major trade ports being underwater. Who is going to rebuild all of the sea lanes, rebuild the docks? How about taking in account how are household items like food, water, TV and so on get here. Since the launch of industrialization in the modern world global trade has added to pollution of our environment. Looking at data gathered global trade contributes near as much pollution per capita calendar year as public transportation does. â€Å"Effectively combating our planetary climate crisis will require changes to the underlying manufacturing, energy, farming – and trade – systems that are now fueling carbon emissions.† (Greenpeace USA, 2014) Due to the outsourcing of companies and products nearly every household product in America travels on average over 4500 miles to reach its home, these items are transported by planes, ships or trains all of which burn massive amounts of fossil fuels. The link between Global trade and Global Warming has many ties like burning fuel which creates greenhouse gas and the amount of trade that goes on any given day is unbelievable. What can we do as regular people do to help reverse this growing problem? There are many easy steps you can do right now to cut global warming pollution. Make sustaining energy a part of your normal routine. Each time you choose a LED light sticker bulb over an traditional bulb, youll lower your energy consumption and keep nearly 600 pounds of CO2 out of the air. By purchasing brands with the energy star sticker, this indicates it uses at least 16% less energy than what the federal mandate is over a less traditional models. Lower cost, reliable cars to help reduce Global Warming gases are available now. From small cars to large trucks, there is no reason not purchase these to help take a step in the right direction fuel cell vehicles can help answer the problem for our future. Hybrids can help eliminate pollution by 1/3 or more and are currently available by every major car manufacturer in the U.S. Voluntary cutback programs have not been effective at stopping the growing of emissions. Many CEO’s of major corporations have agreed it is time for the governments to step in and create tougher, stouter laws to help combat Global Warming. Here is the and Canada public support is at it all time highest to propose and cap emissions of CO2 and other greenhouse gases produced from larger power plants (coal burning) and transportation fuels. We should start implementing cleaner cars and electrical generators into widespread use; this will start reducing gas contamination from vehicles and power plants immediately. By doing this we should start pushing and relying more on alternative solutions like wind, solar, geothermal and wave power. Firmer efficient obligations by appliance manufacturers for electrical appliances will help lower pollution. We need more programs or laws in place like what the Clinton administration implemented in the 90’s. Household central air units/heat pumps must reduce electrical usage by 30% for all new installs. This act will help reduce carbon release by 51 million metric tons a year. Alternative solutions for power consumption are here and we must start embracing it or Global Warming will not stop. Alternative energy defines all things that do not use or consume fossil fuels. These alternatives are found everywhere and anyone can use the majority of them plus they are eco-friendly. With very small to no pollution why not use them? South Africa is helping lead the way of solar power. They just installed the world’s largest solar farm producing some 18 gag-watts a year. South Africa, like other countries, is trying to reduce CO2 emissions as well as increase its alternative energy solutions. Wind energy is a very unlimited resource here in the Midwest. A single windmill can supply crop irrigation, pumping water and powering electric lights. Just in Indiana alone we have hundreds of windmill farms all over the state that helps reduce our grid consumption and saves on the release of fossil fuel gases released into the atmosphere. Geo thermal energy is taking off and it is accessible anywhere on Earth. Geothermal energy means energy drawn or harnessed from beneath the earth. A lot of countries try to use this energy to generate electricity for thousands of homes. Geothermal energy produces no pollution, lowers our dependence on fossil fuels. â€Å"Geothermal fields produce only about one-sixth of the carbon dioxide that a relatively clean natural-gas-fueled power plant produces.† (National Geographic 2014) There are many different ways to use alternative solutions to help reduce our dependence on greenhouse gas producing fuels. Listed above are a few but here are some more to help get you interested; Hydroelectric Energy, Biomass Energy, Ocean Energy and Hydrogen Energy. Talfud once said that, “Men see in their dreams only that what is suggested by their own thought.'; In Bless Me Ultima, the passage after Narciso’s death is crucial in understanding that Antonio processes his conflicts in his dreams. Grading System Essay

I think this is a good step to change the very old education system of our country. We have progressed and developed in many field but the Educational system is same (implemented during Colonial regime). But the question arises why in only CBSE System. However, this is going to relax most of the students and parents as well. The Students and guardians were used to go under unnecessary pressure and stress twice (X & XII). The Grading system is better than marking system. Meanwhile I fee the Government should also consider on the following matters. 1. There should be one syllabus system in all over India. . This system must be applied to all board exam not only CBSE. Each and every board must follow other wise the students of CBSE will face a great consequences in future. 3. There should be one educational system in all over India. I’ve read these statements, n I think most of the people dint like it bcoz, acc to them there e will be no difference in 91 and 99. i just want to ask that in whole India how many students get above 90 and hw many below 60. obvsly more students are in 2nd category’s we should think on behalf of those who are more in the system get very depressed when they fails! their enthusiasm, will to study further get busted! So it better for those students. At least they can study further with increased enthusiasm that they have to get next grade next year. So thinking as a mess. This sys is excellent and obviously it will reduce the suicide cases adopted by the failure students. Well everything thing has both ways one is positive and another one is negative we are taking about only positive thing that is stress will be remove from students mind, inferiority complex and all that. But there is some person, who is talking about negative point of grading system, if we talk about negative point there are certain points like no students have deep knowledge about the subject and if you do not have deep knowledge you can put up your point in front of class and seminar. Another point is at the time of interview or practical we can’t go because you don’t have idea about the particular thing you have basic knowledge but at the time of practical or interview they will ask the root thing of the particular subject or thing. So these are the few examples of negativity of the grading system. This is a good initiative by kapil sibal. Maniacs of marks should understand that there is no big difference between a student who scores 99 and 90. Nobody is consistent in their scoring which at times happens even beyond expectations. So this hue and cry over marks is pessimism. Every top ranking institute ranks students upon their aptitude where a student getting 60 marks may score better than a book worm who takes 99. 9%. Marks and knowledge on the subject are two different things. Mental ability and overall personality development means more than those digits scored without any purpose of developing knowledge. This system will put an end to such stupidity. Let me clear your view about the Grading system and Marking system (fail & pass). Grading system will be a kind of regular assessment system to check the students’ progress which will allow the students to put their focus on the poor grading subjects. Guardian may check the assessment of their ward and rectify the mistake before it goes beyond control. Usually the students take easy during normal course and take a great stress at the time of Final Exam which not only put them into depression but also allow them to commit suicide either before Exam or after the result. The fear of Pass and failure become the nightmare for the students. At present, to take admission in any professional course you have to appear in test process follow by interview so it will not effect due to getting 98 or 91 or even less than 90. The only thing I realize that educational system of all Board should be one and same. However, a lot need to change in our educational system and I think this is the first step towards the introducing global system of Education in India. Continual assessment of students without board examination is likely to considerably reduce the stress of not only the students but also the parents and teachers. Secondly, continual assessment is a good concept to evaluate a student during the entire academic session. On the contrary, one time assessment via board examination does not reflect the true academic standing of a student. I must congratulate the policy makers in this regard.
